What is a haul?

A haul is one complete order: several products bought from Chinese marketplaces, consolidated by a purchasing agent into a single parcel, and shipped abroad together. The member who placed it publishes what they bought, what every line of the bill came to, how long it took to arrive and what they would order again.

Why does the cost breakdown matter more than the photos?

Because item prices are the part you can already see on the listing. What you cannot see is freight. On a light parcel of clothing, international shipping and agent fees routinely add 25-45% on top of the goods, and that share falls fast the more you put in the same box. Reading real breakdowns is the quickest way to learn whether an order is worth placing at all.

Are the numbers in a haul verified by Lantern?

Accepted Answer

No. Every figure in a haul is self-reported by the member who paid it, converted to CNY and shown as they gave it. We do not see their invoices. Where Lantern adds its own numbers (such as pricing the same basket through agents today), those are clearly labelled as estimates.
