2What this ranking measures
Strict descending order of lifetime page views. A view costs the visitor nothing, so this is the loudest and least discriminating list on Lantern: it mixes genuinely great products with anything that got linked from a big collection or argued about in a comment thread.
The useful read is the gap between this list and the most-saved one. A product with huge views and few saves is being looked at and left, usually a price, sizing or credibility problem. When the two lists agree, the interest is real.
Every card above carries its position in this list. Click through for the reviews, the warehouse QC photos and a purchasing-agent cost estimate, because a rank is a starting point and the evidence on the product page is what actually decides it.
The fine print
- Ranked by total views since indexing. No weighting, no decay.
- Controversial products rank here too: attention is attention.
- Views convert to saves at wildly different rates; the ratio is more telling than the rank.
- Compare with the most-saved ledger before reading anything into a position.
Affiliate relationships never touch these rankings. Lantern earns referral fees from some purchasing agents (disclosed on every quote), and none of that revenue can move a product one place in any list on this page.
The other rankings
Each list answers one question well and none of them answers every question. Read two before trusting either.
Slice it another way
Every category page carries its own trending, best-rated and budget rails, and every tag cuts across the taxonomy.
